Linking Employee Rewards to your Organizational Culture

I've often talked about the inseparability of corporate culture management as well as reward  systems.  All too often companies will throw money at a short term reward systems without addressing the type of culture the organization has.  There is a need for complete (linked) cultural-specific recognition systems, which is what McDowell Incentives, Inc. is all about.  I've attached a link to an article by someone I respect, Frank Giancola, which does a good job in defining common cultures.  Which one are you?

I agree that many companies think they can either throw money at incentives or if they ask their employees what they want(the answer is always more money), that is all they need to do, but other things especially, a culture where an employee is engaged, recieves feedback and communications from their leadership often has more value and should be an intergal part of every incentive program.
