It is no accident that the word age is embedded in engagement.
Sirota Survey Intelligence completed a recent assessment of employee
engagement differences across generations. Except for employes age 63
and older the differences between employees’ levels of engagement in
their work is fairly narrow around 77% to 80%.
The Traditionalist generation - ages 63 and older
- were the most engaged in their jobs with an engagement level of 84%.
We neglect the value of older workers yet Siorta’s research is
indicating that this is an overlooked resource of loyal and
enthusiastic workers.
